Salwa the Librarian - Why do Ismailis Cry when they see their Imam?

A girl from Beirut, Lebanon, named Salwa worked as a librarian at McGill University. When she heard that Mawlana Hazar Imam, Shah Karim al-Husayni (peace be upon him), was going to visit the university and also stop by the library, she became curious. She had previously seen that Ismailis become emotional and shed tears when they see their Imam, and she wondered why they react that way. When Mawla entered the library and greeted everyone with a handshake, he did not look at her she was standing a little farther away and then left. She thought to herself: “Ismailis call you their Imam, yet you didn’t even say thank you to me.” But at that very moment, Mawla turned back, came toward her, shook her hand, and said: "Thank you.” The girl suddenly burst into tears and became overwhelmed with emotion that she could not control. Later, she said that at that very moment her body became cold, and the pain she had suffered in her back for years was healed.
